Reader (Judge Birmingham National 9.5.03)
Lancashire's Ch Drishaun That'll Do 'Icely
JW, I have watched this dog several times and thought he was a good one, it's
not until you get your hands on him that you find out how good he is. Fantastic
head, eye and expression, very long neck, good length and low set ears, long
sloping shoulders, very well muscled, good size feet, very good spring of rib,
level topline, good fallaway, well set tail, very powerful hindquarters, moved
round the ring as if he owned it, handled and presented to absolute perfection.
CC and on the referee's decision BIS. B Gilchrist (Dog Judge
AHCS 5.10.02)
Lancashire's Ch Drishaun That'll Do 'Icely
JW, a great pleasure to judge this deep red male. Have liked him for quite some
time. His masculine head and wonderful eye shape gives him a very arrogant and
aloof expression. Excellent substance and bone, deep chest, correct
proportions. Very balanced and sound. Covers plenty of ground on the move.
Presented to the last hair. Pushed my CC winner very hard, RCC - P L

RCC
- Jean Jacques Dupas
(France)
(Judge WKC 16.8.02)
Ch Drishaun That'll Do 'Icely JW, beautiful
dog in great form, masculine but without coarseness, well built, holds it
together on the move, lovely under coat. To be hypercritical I'd like a little
more ring to tail and a little less coat but very impressive. CC & BOB -
Frank Kane (Dog Judge SWKA 12.7.02)
Lancashire's Ch Drishaun That'll Do 'Icely
JW, well deserved Champion, just took my breath away, standing a picture in
fabulous condition, groomed to perfection, s/m/g, masculine head, balanced level
topline, good tailset, ringed, well let down on all fours, moved with purpose,
showed his head carriage well, moved forward with front and rear drive, shown to
perfection, just looked the part, CC. My only regret is that he did not go BOB
(referee's decision), very unfortunate I feel - Estella E Fryer
(Dog Judge MAHC 26.5.02)
Lancashire's Ch Drishaun That'll Do 'Icely
JW, self masked pale red, what a super dog, everything about him shouts Afghan,
loved his head and expression, excellent length of neck, super shoulders, deep
well sprung ribcage, lovely sweeping quarters, ring tail, huge coat presented as
one would expect in top condition, couldn't deny him the CC, RBIS on referee's
decision - Claire L Todd (Dog Judge NAHS 31.3.02)
Lancashire’s Ch Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely
JW, what a dog, shaded masked deep gold, epitomises what the Afghan should be,
fantastic head, correct eye shape and dark colour, good chiselling, long
powerful neck, best shoulders of the entry, correct return of upper arm, deep
chest, superbly sprung ribcage, short well muscled loin, excellent rear
angulation, stunning on the move, covering huge amount of ground with effortless
gait, no hesitation in awarding the CC to this fine animal. RBIS on referee’s
decision – Richard Hurl (Dog Judge EEAC
23.2.02)
Ch Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely JW, in 1996 I had the great good fortune to
judge a truly magnificent dog in America and in my critique of him I wrote
"oozes quality, type and possesses that something extra that turns your head and
gives you goosebumps!" That dog was Am Ch Gazon Say What You Mean, the sire of
the winner today, to whom the same description applies. Head and coat colour are
wonderful but putting my hands on him was like going back in time, has the same
wonderful proportions and exquisite balance, strong, powerful dog, this time in
red, his head though not as refined as his father’s is so masculine, strong jaws
and far seeing expression, carried proudly on a long strong muscular neck,
everything fitting together so well, then he moves! It quite took my breath,
wonderful springy gait, covering a terrific amount of ground, so effortless and
powerful, a true king. CC and my co-judge agreed for him to be BIS – Liz
O’Connor-Thomas (Dog Judge BAHC 25.11.01)
Lancashire’s Ch Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely JW, masculine, elegant and sound
mover, balanced outline, in lovely coat, long neck, proud head carriage, springy
gait, nice sweep to quarters, arched feet, prominent hip bones, muscular loin,
straight front, good bone, dark eyes, aloof expression, long topknot, silky
coat, springy gait with good drive, CC. - Pamela Cross Stern (Judge SKC
26.8.01)
Lancashire’s Ch Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely JW, I have long admired the
Drishaun kennels, they produce consistently, quality Afghans. Their knowledge
and understanding of the breed I envy. My CC winner is a blend of England and
foreign and they’ve got it right, fitted my understanding of the Standard.
Expression is right, certainly dignified and aloof, movement smooth and springy
with a style of high order. I find him so Afghan. – Elaine Wyatt (Dog
Judge SWKA 5.7.01)
Lancashire’s Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely JW, in this class (Limit Dog) and in the challenge this lovely dog looked superb
both standing and moving with correct head and tail carriage, super head
features, long neck, deep chest, the best of fronts, ideal body, topline and
rear angulation, superbly presented, in brilliant long coat, CC and Champion on
the day. – Terry Thorn (Judge Southern Counties 2.6.01)
Lancashire’s Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely JW, defied me to go past him,
excelled in head and type, very soundly made, plenty of substance, good spring
of rib, level topline, well muscled, excellent angulation and balance, left me
in no doubt he was all dog, on the move he showed strength and dignity, arrogant
and proud, showing a true style of high order as he covered the ground
effortlessly, a true showman who was shown and handled to his very best
advantage, won here hands down, I was very proud to award him the CC today and
RBIS on the referee’s decision. – Sandra Ellis (Dog Judge MAHC
27.5.01)
Lancashire’s Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely JW, what can I say about this dog,
filled my eye completely, as he entered the ring I caught my breath, to me
everything an Afghan should be, the most stunning, houndy male I have seen in a
long while, from his exquisitely chiselled head to the ring of his tail, had no
doubt this was his ring, commanded my attention from the moment he entered,
great balance and outline, conformation second to none, the icing on the cake
was his beautiful silky flowing coat as he sailed round the ring, the Standard
asks for a style of high order, this dog epitomising it, it gave me the greatest
pleasure to award him the CC and BOB, pleased to see him shortlisted in the
group where he looked magnificent. – Wendy Cain (Judge LKA 8.12.00)
The RCC winner is another classic young dog I have watched with interest for
some time, he is maturing well and must surely gain his crown, he too is of
sound conformation, has balance and style and puts up a good performance in the
ring. He is the sire of my BPD who went on to BPIS. …Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely
JW, most beautiful red of classic stamp in good body and coat bloom, has that
charisma that makes you give him more than a second look. Stands so proudly and
uses himself well in head carriage. Pleasing outline, is equally good when you
get your hands on, good length to neck, correct angle of shoulder, sound front,
deep chest. Floats around the ring in good style with ring tail carried
correctly. Excellent presentation. RCC, am sure he will make up. – Sylvia
Evans (Dog Judge SAC 3.12.00)
RCC, Drishaun That’ll Do ‘Icely JW, b/m/r, very nicely balanced, up on leg
and square, long neck, excellent fit into shoulder, proud carriage, powerful
athletic movement, used front and rear equally, level topline, nice detailing.
Too strong in head for me but his other qualities were undeniable. – Janis
